Williams publishes articles

Martin Williams, director of Campus Safety, had two articles published in the past several years.

The first article is from the Journal of Emergency Management and is a comprehensive review of the first full year of the TASER program at Hennepin County Medical Center. To this day, this is really the only published research study on the topic of TASERs in Healthcare.

The most recent article is currently in print in the summer edition of the Journal of Healthcare Protection Management. This article is a print version/summary of a presentation conducted at the annual general meeting of the International Association of Hospital Security and Safety this past May.  This article outlines how the TASER devices fit into the overall use of force model and program at Hennepin County Medical Center and is a very unique perspective into the topic.
