Music faculty to perform with Winona Symphony Orchestra


On May 5 SMU music faculty will be performing with the Winona Symphony Orchestra. Faculty members include full-time faculty Dr. David Leung (violin), Dr. Janet Heukeshoven (flute/piccolo), and adjunct instructors Michael Van Ryn (string bass), John Mundy (trumpet) and Harry Hindson, featured also saxophone soloist.

Repertoire to be performed includes Fauré's beautiful Masques et Bergamasques,  Paule Maurice’s Tableaux de Provence for alto saxophone and orchestra, and Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony. The performance will take place at the WSU Performing Arts Center at 4:30 p.m. with a pre-concert talk given by Dr. Don Lovejoy (conductor) at 4 p.m.
